A Song Is Like A House Says Geoffrey O Hara
Geoffrey O Hara explains song writing foundations likening a song to a house with four square base and trimming. He advises finding a recognized singer to promote tunes, compares singers to coaches, and notes swing music as a passing mode while rhythm drives all music. He estimates a prolific writer may produce fifty to seventy five songs yearly with five to ten big hits.
