The piece urges school spirit as football season begins amid slushy weather. It asks readers if they will support the team despite rain and cold, noting a victorious team is supported by its school and calling for turnout at the next game.

Debating this year has two groups affirm and negative meeting twice weekly with a joint weekly session. The subject is government ownership of electric utilities. Returning letter winners headline both sides while several new debaters challenge veterans for spots. Coach Mr. Robbins maintains order as students earn academic credit for the course.
Attorney Mason Bull of Morrison addressed Sterling High School on Constitution Day September 19. He highlighted famous personalities of the Constitutional Convention, noting Washington and Franklin's roles, Hamilton's record keeping, and Washington’s temper during the war. Bull declined payment, requesting library funds for Constitution related books.
