Haggett Family Invades SHS Intriguing Drama and Arabian Nights Dance
Seniors staged a three act play The Late Christopher Bean on March 23 and 24 25 with a Haggett family plot and a servant Abby who owns the key painting. The annual Arabian Nights dance follows tonight March 31 at 8 30 in the high school gym with Maurice Mintke and his orchestra.

Coach Gene Hall led twelve SHS players on their first downstate trip to Champaign for a tournament. On March 15 the town gathered with the mayor police and teachers to wish the team luck. Local supporters cheered led by SHS cheerleaders and Mayor Wetzel, then escorted the players to Highway 30.

Sterling Township High Band to Present Formal Spring Concert
The Sterling Township High School band hosts its first concert of the year on April 27 in the Coliseum. The ensemble will dress in formal attire with girls in formals and boys in suits. Featured soloist Glen Mortenson performs Del Staiger's Carnival of Venice. A trumpet duet with Darrell Dunham, a Cole Porter medley, Dvorak's New World Symphony finale, and Morton Gould selections are listed along with other band features.
