The Fifth Avenue Players schedule three one act plays for April 12 in the school auditorium. Cast includes Lola Stern Joy Pepper Florence Pratt Lois Eatinger Marjorie Cameron Daryl Gaumer Tom Hoffman Lola Jean Dirks Marilyn Tresenriter and others. Directors are Sue Williams Sue Behrens Lillian Jacobe Barbara Swain. Admission 30 cents adults 16 cents children.

Baile la Conga Spanish Tea Dance Brightens Campus
The Spanish Club sponsored Baile la Conga on March 15 in the gym with Gay Spanish decorations and a Mexico Spain display table. Lupe Martines's orchestra played Spanish and American tunes while a floor show featured Joyce Blum, Matilde Carrillo, Gilbert Fidalgo, and club members performing rhumba tango conga and tap dance. Real Spanish food, including hot tamales, highlighted refreshments as Jackie Gossard chaired the event with multiple committees handling decoration, advertisement, refreshments, entertainment, and door duties.

The biggest event of the year will be held on May 11 as 8. H. 8.ers attend the Junior-Senior Prom. Co chairmen are Jerry Svenksen and Roger Larson. Lawrence Morse's orchestra has been engaged for the occasion. Committees have not yet been selected.

Farmyard Frolic Tonight for Freshman Only

Monitors Banquet and Movie Night at Lincoln Hotel
Sterling Township High School hall monitors attended a banquet at the Lincoln Hotel on Monday evening March 11. Afterward they and Mr. and Mrs. Eades went to the movie Spellbound. The event was led by Phil Breiding and Marian Wessels with many students and faculty advisers listed among those who saved the dinner.

Sterling Girl Scouts Observe Anniversary 34 Years
The Sterling and Rock Falls Girl Scouts marked the 34th anniversary with 19 troops from area grade schools and one senior high troop. A Wallace School banquet featured color decorations and birthday cake tables, with troop leaders assisted by committees and council members. Each troop performed a skit. Sterling High presented a hiking-themed piece. Morrison seniors planned a dance for Whiter senior scouts at Morrison Coliseum.
