Annual Christmas Concert and Sno Ball Dance at Junior High
The Robbed Choir presented its annual Christmas Concert at St. John's Lutheran Church on December 21 8 00 PM with sections featuring Glenna Gould Ruth Dudley and Wilma Linton. The YWCA YMCA co ed Council hosts its Sno Ball Dance December 27 in the Junior High School gym from 9 PM to midnight with tickets 1 00 single 1 50 couple and a full committee lineup led by Carol Taft and Mary Kais er.

Dramatic Club Pins Ordered After Yearend Events
On December 11 twenty members attended the movie All About Eve with seats reserved for the group. A Christmas party followed December 20 in the school cafeteria at 7 50 featuring decorations program and a grab bag exchange. Pins are ordered for members who participate in at least three club activities.

CAPA Christmas Party Held at Wallace School Gym
The CAPA club hosted its annual Christmas party on December 18 at Wallace school gym for first and second grade Spanish speaking students from Sterling’s grade schools. Two hours of entertainment ended with a Pinata filled with candy. Mexican pandulces and chocolate milk were served along with small gifts.

New Entrance Open for SHS Library and Study Hall
The new SHS library and study hall is nearing completion with finish work set for the first week of January 1951. Foreman says tan marbleized tile floors painting and furniture move in remain before the school vacation ends the work. The library centers on a fireplace replica of George Washington's Mt. Vernon hearth in Italian black marble with white oak bookcases and plaster trim.

Hi Tri Christmas Party At YMCA For SterlingGirls
On December 19 the Hi Tri annual Christmas party for thirty Sterling elementary schoolgirls aged 6 to 10 was held at the YMCA. Santa Claus attended and distributed gifts while the guests and helpers enjoyed the event.

Sterling FFA Highlights Drive and Trip to Livestock Show
Sterling Chapter FFA runs an activity contest to boost participation with points for meeting attendance grades projects and offices. Members compete for a large emblem and class winners receive block letters. The group traveled to the International Livestock Show to see the grand champion steer sell for twelve dollars per pound. Fundraisers include jello sales pencil sales seed licenses and coffee dispensers. Don Lester returned two chain gifts to David Smyre and Larry Meiners as awards in the second year of the project.

Yearbook Work Starts for 1951 Blue and Gold
The 1951 Blue and Gold yearbook is underway with plans for a larger book, an artistic cover, more pages and more pictures. November 20 and 21 featured busy photography days, and subscriptions were collected November 27 to December 1. The price was two dollars for students both now and at delivery.
