The Woman's Club of Steele City will host a free demonstration in Domestic Science at the Baptist church basement on Tuesday afternoon September 26 from to o clock to 3. Miss Stott, a State Farm demonstrator, will lecture on Household Economics and Domestic Science. No charges. Miss Stott is hired by the state to teach this work and is considered thoroughly competent. Rock Island Surgeons Meet in St Paul Sept Week
Dr Curtis announces attendance at the Rock Island Surgeons meeting in St Paul during the week of Sept 25 to 30. His Fairbury Nebraska office will be closed on those dates.
School notes and new program plans at the high school
Thirteen students enrolled in the normal training class. Sherman Bryant and Hazel Condit visited the high school last Friday. Regular basketball practice has begun and new goals are being ordered. The curriculum aligns with university requirements and normal training standards without duplicating classes. Improvements include music drills, domestic science, more library books, and additional science apparatus. In Nebraska children five may enter school. only one five year old is listed. Entry is allowed only at the year start to follow normal training rules.
