Lifeless Body Found After River Search Near Printing Office
The body of Mr. Flarris was recovered from the river Tuesday night after a daylong search. A note suggested possible self harm, and witnesses placed him near the old mill south of town earlier. He had suffered poor health and mental distress, returning from a sanitarium just days before the tragedy.

James A Harris Pioneer Printer in Steele City Dies
James A Harris born in Cleveland about 49 years ago faced early hardship after his mother's death. He built a lifelong career in printing, worked on major papers, ran a Kansas state paper, and founded the Steele City Press seven years before selling it last May. He married Kate Sky in 1896 and is survived by three children. Interment was in Belleville, Kansas.
