October 4 marked Lucille Tay lor's birthday with a party attended by her class and sponsor Mr Casier at the Bonham Theatre in Fairbury. G B Gadtell plans a new filling station south of Lowe's implement shop. Services are scheduled for Sunday evening at the church.
Local briefs note Wim Pearson's illness and several visits, trips, and social events. Thornton McCurdy visits Lincoln. families and relatives gather at various homes across Fairbury and Endicott. Wealan's Club and Music Club plan a meeting with pot luck and activities at C. C. Andrews home October 20.
Mr and Mrs Nick Kiskalt of Hollenberg Kansas were surprised by relatives and friends Sunday bringing baskets to mark their wedding anniversary. Attendees included Mr and Mrs Will Kiskalt of Grand Island Neb Mr and Mrs C Kiskall Fern Kiskalt Mr and Mrs Ed Pingle Mr and Mrs John Bugbee Mr and Mrs Louis Bugbee all of Steele City Mr and Mrs Will Nutter of Hollenberg and Mr and Mrs Herman Neuman of Diller Nebr.
Winners in the post driving contest were John Roseman first Roy James second and Frank James third. A record seven hundred? tickets were sold at the picture show Saturday night. Mr and Mrs James Wallace and Mary visited St Joe late last week.
The First Presbyterian Church of Steele City Nebraska sues to quiet title to a described parcel in Steele City Jefferson County Nebraska. It names Abner Baker Jr and others as heirs and claims no interest by defendants. The court action seeks removal of cloud on title and enjoins any adverse claims. Respond by November 21 1927.
