Junior Carnival At Sunday School Draws Crowd
The two Junior classes held an indoor carnival in the church basement Friday night. Booths offered trinkets, ice cream, coffee and sandwiches. a short program was presented. Receipts totaled 40 dollars, leaving a nice sum for the classes after expenses.
Post Driving Contest Postponed to October 8
The post driving contest was not held last Saturday due to bad roads keeping many farmers from town. It will be held Saturday October 8 at 3:00 p.m. Farmers are urged to come to town in time for the event.
Church Notes Outline New Young People Society
Church notes report Fuibury and Gospelere unable to attend last Sunday due to bad roads. They will lead services next Sunday with Leasch speaking in the morning and the Gospel team in the evening. Rev Pfautz left for Wayne Nebraska to attend a three day synod session. A Young People Christian Endeavor Society formed last Sunday with meetings at 7 PM each Sunday. Charles Lowe is president Ernest Gretzinger vice president and Margaret Gretzinger secretary treasurer. The new Endeavor follows a previous society and aims at training youth for future church service amid a large student population in the area.
