A strong aged Percheron stallion, registered 116-669, is offered for inspection and booking under a stated fine. Potential buyers are invited to view the good-weighted, solid-boned horse and arrange terms for riding or breeding use.
Memorial Day will be observed on Monday May 30 with a program at the hall and services at the cemetery. Local residents report weekend visits and gatherings including Mrs R Arner and Miss Gret Zinger at Byron Nebr for the American Legion dance on May 24 and many family visits across Steele City Lincoln Fairbury and Lanham.
W. W. Pfautz serves as pastor. Sunday School starts at 10 A. M. Church service at 11 A. M. Evening service at 7 30 P. M. Services held in the K of P hall.
Mr and Mrs Paul Beckwith near Diller are proud to announce the birth of their son a ten pound boy born May 14 parental details.
A Good Will Class hosted a Wednesday morning breakfast at Miss Kiskall’s home with complimentary guests and spring floral décor. After a short hike guests enjoyed a three course meal and a poem plus a sterling engraved spoon gifted to Miss Jones. Kodak photos followed as guests departed.

Water continues rising in the Tensas basin with Jonesville gauge at 61.2 feet after an 11 day rise of 4.9 feet. Relieving weather warnings indicate relief is not in sight.

The baccalaureate sermon in the community hall May 16 honored industry as the road to success with Rev. Pfautz delivering the address. Junior and senior seating reflected class colors and a candlelight symbolized the Reserve group’s work. Edna James begins 1927-28 as Girl Reserves president. The report covers class studies from Lady of the Lake to Caesar, and the orientation of science and biology themes amid school events and faculty activities.
