Oregon Trail Monument Dedication May 12
Unveiling exercises for a Oregon Trail monument at the Nebraska Kansas line two miles west of Lanham on May 2 feature August Jaedicke Jr as chairman. The lands were provided by Nebraska and Kansas groups including the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Oregon Trail Memorial Commission. The program includes invocation by Bishop J Henry Tiden and the unveiling by Mrs. Warren Perry with Robert Har presenting the monument.

Endicott Town Board Notes May Events and Projects
The town board met Tuesday evening. Mrs Alta Savage returned from Hildreth Monday. Miss Edith Lambert made an over Sunday visit in York. Mr Lubin finished the sidewalk from the church to the school house this week. The Ladies Aid and Missionary Society will host an ice cream social Saturday evening in May. May baskets were hung during May day festivities. The Ladies Aid met Thursday in the church for an all day session sewing for Ed Chancellor’s family. The Farmers Equity Union held a business meeting in the church basement Wednesday evening, and Friday evening the Union ladies brought lunch for a social. They decided to buy the elevator from Fairchild Bros.
