The good roads committee reports progress on six miles of graded road for Diller and nearby residents. Creeks required extra right of way donated by landowners and timber removal aided access. Grading began Monday on Cemetery road with five teams under Col. J. B. Wright and will continue as crews are secured.
At a meeting on April 16 1909 the Steele City village board estimated expenditures for officers salaries streets and alleys park water and general fund for the fiscal year beginning May 2 1909 totaling 450 dollars. The resolution was ordered to be recorded and published as required by law.
