Auction Coat Tale Reveals Hidden Will and Lucky Bid

An old man recalls bidding on a buffalo coat at a Pooduck auction. The cap'n's will, found later in a widow's desk, left most property to Livy with one wood-lot to George. Uncle Bijah ends up with the coat and, after buying it for a dollar and a half, gains a surprising windfall when Livy buys it back for fifteen dollars and gives it to Bijah as a Christmas gift, completing a modest bargain.
