Citizens caucus Monday night. Will Garrett plans a sale March 20 before moving to town. Numerous local items report farm moves, sales, gasping flu cases, births, hospital transfers, and court hearings. Tanlac ads and school board salary cuts noted.
On March 8 Harold Greenwood and Enid Justis were married in Lincoln. They will visit at the groom’s uncle’s home in Waverly until Saturday then return to Steele City to reside on the Will Garrett farm. The couple is highly regarded and receives many congratulations. the bride is the daughter of Simeon and Mrs Justis near Washington Kansas.
The village board met Tuesday with chairman absent. M O Sampson named temporary chair. Bills approved include Lenker bed and meals $100, railroad tank lease $1, Pearson street labor $150. Election board appointed for April 4 with Shultz, Mrs Chclerks, Beckwith, Phelps, Lowe. ballots to be printed. Wolf hunt northeast of town yielded four wolves. A trapped coyote dragged its trap seven days and was found five miles from the set trap. trap remained on its left hind leg.
