In Wellington Kansas Harry Friday left Monday for work in a store with his brother in law Mr Townsend of Abie Nebraska attended the Earhart Stewart wedding. A school board meeting elected Henry Green to fill a vacancy from A R Cox resignation and hired Puss Comstock as principal for next year.
Last Saturday brought a fresh blanket of snow, possibly eight inches or more, covering roads already reopened earlier in the week. Train service paused Saturday, but by Sunday Nos. 3 and 4 resumed after a few hours. Alumni of Steele City High held a meeting at Miss Mrydle Kelley’s home with a small attendance and a pleasant evening of games and music. Refreshments were served as plans formed to hold the next session at Mr. and Mrs. Rucker’s home.
In a March 6 ceremony at Mrs. Joseph Stewart home Steele City, Miss Lillie Maude Stewart married Piercy D. Earhart. Rev. Walker officiated with Ruben Earhart as best man and Leah Stewart as bridesmaid. The couple, raised in Steele City, plan to reside in McCool.
