Steele City Chautauqua Dates Set for August 6 to 9
The Chautauqua event in Steele City runs August 6 through 9 with the United Chautauquas supplying the program. No official details have been received yet, but last year’s program was well received and drew fair crowds. With improved crop prospects this year, organizers expect better paying outcomes.

Missionary Society Meeting Adds Two New Members

Mr and Mrs Gail Gnagy mourn the death of their daughter Dorothy Elizabeth born May 21 1923 in Waterville Kansas who died July 14 1927 at Steele City Nebraska at four years one month and twenty three days of age Cause of death cholera morbus Funeral services were held at the Gnagy home July 15 and at the Waterville Lutheran church Interment at Riverside Cemetery Waterville Kansas The community offers sympathy to the grieving parents and prays for their peace
