H D Schiarb visited town on Tuesday. J T Manley is sick this week. Mrs C C Andrews and Mrs W Davis have pneumonia and illness. A J Roderick traveled to Mahaska Kansas. F W Lowe visited Diller Sunday. Ed Wright jeweler offers repairs. C J Clark hauled poultry to Fairbury. Louis Kulhanek opened a meat market in Endicott. Lena Wilcox rode to Fairbury Monday. H E Clappee and E Roderick autoed to Fairbury. Mrs Anna Lenker hosts a Kansas City bound relative. Mrs Agnes Zoellin and son Theodore arrived from Winnetka Illinois. W H Barber and Mrs silverpen and Mrs Rayeagan visited from Carlton. The market seeks hogs up to 200 pounds. A M Wilcox recovers from erysipelas. E M Partlow improved after illness. Reba McVay returned from Hubbell. Henry Lipke bought Greenwood jack at Deshler. George Porter family traveled to St Joe. J F Zoellin mending and seating up. J W Davis and son began broom making in Partlow building. Nannie Rucker unable to teach. Emma Rucker covered. A baby boy born to Mr and Mrs Carl Ames near ieee January 10 1911.
T N Reiber visited town Wednesday to place an order for printing. Anna Diller of Diller returned home after visiting her sister Mrs J F Zoellin. Ice on the river thawed after last week’s cold spell, delaying harvesting. W H Chancellor and wife returned from Endicott. Mrs Chancellor had been in Lincoln over holidays. W A Compton installed a new kitchen range from Hicks Hardware. The Weddel family left for Arcadia Neb after a weeks visit. E C Hotze of Indianola visited his sister Mrs F W Lowe. Mrs W L Wright and her little son plan to return home after visiting relatives since the holidays. In St Joe Gas Blue Rucker cares for the blacksmith shop during absence. Six new members joined the K P Wedge: Frank Rathbun, George Porter, Chester Manley, Wm Luhm Jr, Wm Barber and A Kj Viette. Miss Nuckolls teaching at Bugbee school east of town was forced to dismiss for a week with a cold, returning to Fairbury. Ladies including Mrs O Jr Taylor, Mrs F Bryant, Mrs A D Brown, Mrs H Clapp and Miss Bessie Rucker attended public installation of Woodmen and Royal Neighbors at Hanover Kaw. A blue rock shoot yielded J W Hicks first prize. Rube Earhart was next. Another shoot planned for Saturday the 21st, with hopes of forming a gun club. A Revel McVay boy fell through the ice while skating but escaped as water was only waist deep and no companions nearby.

Stewart Inside Watch H B Rucker Outside Watch J R Zweifel The lodge meets the second and fourth Mondays each month and all Workmen are invited to attend.
R Bischel proprietor of the blacksmith shop sells to Mr Bracken. Mr Roderick, formerly with Robert Partlow, contemplates future plans including opening a welding plant in Fairbury. He has worked in a similar shop in Council Bluffs since last June and has deep welding experience.
