Pants sale slashes prices for 25 pairs boys' trousers

Presbyterian Church Notes Sunday Schedule and Activities

Sunday school at 10 a.m. preaching at 11 a.m. and 7 30 p.m. Ladies Aid met with Mrs E E Shultz Wednesday afternoon with sixteen ladies present. A social hour followed and a launch was served. Bake sale by the aid Saturday afternoon netted 9 35. Miss Francis Crinkian's Sunday school class will hold a bake sale at Palmer's cream station next Saturday afternoon. We hope the girls have good patronage.

James Rydholm and Lola James Bride at Geneva

Miss Lola James and Floyd A. Rydholm were married at Geneva on Saturday afternoon December 31 1927. The bride is daughter of Mr and Mrs P E James of this city and the groom is son of Mr and Mrs B G Rydholm. They are graduates of Edgar high school class of 22 and the bride is finishing her fifth year as a teacher. The groom works at the Blue Valley Packing plant and both are highly regarded.

Oliver Funon and family visited the Bundy home. Victor Mowry and wife visited grandmother Mrs. Mowry in Missouri. O J Wing and wife visited granddaughter Mrs. John Euits in Fairbury. John Godden was called to Iowa for his father’s death. The American Legion runs a membership drive with teams of twelve.

Marion Lapane visited Fairbury on business while Beloit Kansas resident Carl Tallott returned home after a family visit. The region saw visits from Fred Weber Grant Wing E W Tallcott Loyal Else and families with relocations among Wm Else Clyde Nida and Pete Wilson families. Local clubs, social gatherings, and a Farmers Union meeting were reported along with highway talk by Roy Cochran and community delegations.

Nebraska bank cashes up balances and sworn report

The Jefferson county bank reports total assets of 182 008.89 with capital stock 210 000.00 surplus 2 508.00 and undivided profits 2 118.72. Individual deposits subject to check time deposits savings deposits and depositor's guarantee fund are listed. The state cashier R S Wilfley attests the accuracy of the report to the Department of Trade and Commerce. Notary Nell Drake swears to the document on January 6, 1928.
