Black Brothers Flour and Feed announce a car of Star and Rose brands flour and Just Rite chick feeds will be sold on or about Wednesday February 16. The car includes flour varieties oats shells and various chick and hen feeds with special prices for immediate removal from the car.
Eva Thrapp hosted a weekend at home in Fairbury while Edgington traveled to Washington Kansas for a medical consultation. Local residents, including Kersting and Crinklaw families, hosted guests and attended meals. The Harold Packer family moved to a new home near Fairchild yard and several residents visited relatives in Washington Ran. and Lincoln.
W. W. Preutz to lead farewell morning service marking the old church building's final day. A church committee plans to salvage finances by incorporating the old building’s number into the new. Men are invited for a workday Monday February 14 with tools, ladders, and a noon dinner. carpenters await lumber.
Building Commission advertises bids for basement cement blocks and chimney brick work. Project covers foundation to chimney base with emphasis on good brick quality. Bids requested from contractors.
Mr and Mrs John Shepherd of Marvayille visited home folks on Tuesday. Mr and Mrs J W Green and family spent Saturday at Haddam visiting relatives. Roy Seheil bought Charley McCreight property. Ms and Mrs Ralph Woods and Mabel Swett attended the Austin Trial in Beatrice Monday. Rev and Mrs Warren were Sunday guests at the Griffing home. Rev and Mrs W D Lenker of Odell called on Mrs Scott Sunday afternoon.
Kenneth Schmitt received a broken collar bone Wednesday evening when his car overturned between Endicott and Fairbury. The Otho Curry family have been having the flu the past week. Chas Compton and family visited the John Malady home Sunday evening.

William Risor of Fairbury reportedly shot himself in his home Monday afternoon after his wife accused him of threatening her and their four children. Deputy Sheriff Kinnamon attempted to arrest Risor as he warned he had a gun. Risor then killed himself. Buried at Aebron, after moving a year ago from a nearby area.
