Community plans a Sunday corner stone ceremony at The First Presbyterian Church of Seele City Neb with a 11 45 assembly and devotional service. Officials will deposit documents in the stone cavity to symbolize unity progress and civic spirit followed by a Christmas vesper program featuring carols and readings.
A lyric painting traffic life and its risks from workers to dreamers on a city road. The verse follows fast moving crowds and varied characters from a rich man to a beggar, a drunk driver to a school girl, ending with a sudden fatal crash and a wishful look at life’s highway.
The Degree of Honor program and plate supper last Wednesday evening was well attended with a crowded hall. Five generous plates sold at 25 cents each, total proceeds for the D of H. amounted to. The program before the supper consisted of 25 numbers including piano solos by Ruth Garrett Helen Gregory Eva Garrett and Ardene Afzeren.
