Walter Lenker and family of Odell were Steele City callers Wednesday. John Godden spent Thursday with Mrs. P. E. James. Hugh Garrett and family returned Friday from a two weeks trip to Kansas and Oklahoma visiting relatives. They report crops poorly.
Special for Friday and Saturday includes Western Peaches from Idaho and flights or plans involving planes.
Open sale offers fresh pianos at reasonable prices. Older models available with gate repairs noted. Limited stock, first come, first served.
Walter E Walley sells Great Western Paint through John Kersting in Endicott Nebraska. The deal is disclosed in a local notice and highlights a building project connected to the supplier and broker.
Elizabeth Rucker hosted a miscellaneous shower for Miss Margaret Bridwell on August 21. Seventeen guests at the dwelling served ice cream and cake with a diamond ring baked in a slice found by Bernice Gretzinger. Mrs Forsha announced the wedding of Miss Bridwell to Mr Alfred Able of Hope, Ned. Beatrice Pethouds mother of Beatrice died early Tuesday morning. Pethoud left for Beatrice to arrange funeral.

Several items for sale include a heating stove library table and a buggy. Lost bag and unidentified items found with owner claims.
