Hope Knauer Weds Lee Scott In Nebraska Nuptials
Miss Hope Knauer married Lee Scott of West Virginia Kansas at her Seward Nebraska home on Wednesday August 4. The ceremony was simple with the bride’s father reading the vows. The couple will teach in Garrison Kansas the coming year where Scott is superintendent and Mrs. Scott formerly Dr Knauer will be remembered for her service in the local church.

Shisler Dies After Stroke in Steele City
Mrs. T J Shisler died Thursday afternoon August 12 after a stroke on the courthouse steps in Fairbury Neb. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Steele City Presbyterian Church with burial beside her son in Steele City cemetery. Jane Eva Shisler born January 21 1865 in Illinois died August 11 1926 in Fairbury aged 61 years 6 months 21 days. She married Wesley John Negue in 1881 Lenox SD, eight children born, two predeceased. Surviving are Austin Kansas City Mo Alvy Steele City Neb Alice Martin Lee Summit Mo Alta and Amy Fuqua Steele City, 22 grandchildren, husband Thomas Jefferson Shisler Stanberry Mo, moved to Kansas City and joined Baptist church after marriage, member of Rebecca and Royal Neighbor orders.

Mrs. R. Arner notes two 9x12 Gold Seal Congoleum rugs and a Duofold. Floyd Hunnicut from Everett Washington reports a large July fire that destroyed three mills. the entire local fire department and three out‑of‑town trucks responded, with an extra Seattle crew arriving in about thirty minutes.
