The wedding of Mr. Geb Banahan of Steele City and a Wash bride took place Saturday July with a ceremony witnessed by friends and family. The bride wore a rose crepe frock and will live on a farm near City. The couple earns best wishes for a long, happy life together.
A surprise birthday celebration marked Mr William Lee’s seventy seventh birthday held Saturday. Relatives and friends attended at Steele City including Mr Pearson and his daughter with gifts and a large cake decorated with colored candies.
Starr Hughes Floyd Hughes wed on Monday August 1 in Endicott with Elizabeth Starr of Diller. The couple will travel to Colorado for a wedding trip with the bride’s parents hosting and friends extending best wishes.
The Woman's Missionary Society will meet with Mrs. C. C. Andrews Wednesday afternoon, August 10. Lessons focus on China by Mrs. Allen Phelps and The Oriental in America by Mrs. Kendall. Roll call mentions China.
Mr and Mrs J D Minkler Leonard Minkler and Mr and Mrs Gari Townsend and family left by auto Wednesday for California They expected to leave Tuesday but were delayed by the rain Their destination is Fortuna California.

The Chapman Musical Party and Bob Finch lecture "Shifting Gears" follow, with the finale a three act comedy "Daddy Long-Legs" on Tuesday night.
