The annual Sunday School Convention of Jefferson County will meet at the Fairbury Methodist Church starting Monday morning April 27 at 10 o clock. A full program will run through afternoon and evening with two state workers in attendance and hopes for wide county representation.
Seniors enjoyed a pleasure trip to Steele City last Wednesday. Luhm repairs cement sidewalk in east Endicott. Bertha Scott of Fairbury visited uncle Alex Shepherd. Theress Jones returned to Peru after vacationing with family. L E Beach and Cy W Slaughter attended a home talent play in Fairbury Friday evening. Eleanor Walburn was ill and missed school. Lily Stolting filled in. Slaughter’s store was entered Thursday night with about 5 in change and 25 in merchandise stolen. Stolting went to Steele City to retrieve his horses stolen Monday night. Ed Scholl’s hogry returned Saturday morning.
