Burnes Services Held Wednesday In Anson Church
Funeral services for C F Burnes 90 of Rt 2 Lueders were held at 230 pm Wednesday at Lueders Church of Christ with Rev Bill Proger and J C Fubanks Sr officiating. Burial followed in Mount Hope Cemetery Anson under Kinney Funeral Home Stamford. Burnes died Monday night in Anson General Hospital after a 13 day illness. He had lived in Anson Care Home the past 18 months and earlier in Red River Kaufman Albany and Lueders. He served as Shackelford County road commissioner 1932 to 1936. Survivors include two sons Jimmie and Robert three daughters Inez Hornsby Florence Carter and Flossie Hornsby plus two grandchildren.

Stamford to Grant 7 1 2 Percent City Pay Hike
