The 50 by 70 foot modern structure features plate glass, turquoise louvers, walnut paneling, Italian marble, and year round air conditioning. It includes a 18 by 38 foot conference room, private offices, and a six car parking shed, with a full intercommunication system and fireproof vault.

Bread Truck Driver Hurt Seriously in Accident
Carroll Tolliver, a bread truck driver for Mrs Bairds, sustained serious injuries Wednesday morning in Avoca while preparing to deliver to Red and White Grocery. He suffered multiple lacerations and a concussion and possibly internal injuries. he was rushed to Stamford Hospital after the westbound truck struck his door. The crash occurred as Tolliver exited the front door to avoid oncoming traffic. Margarito Arellano of Alice drove the truck and was en route to Stamford with his wife and child in the cab and several others in the truck bed, none injured.

Deadline for Wheat Land In Soil Bank Is October 5
Wheat farmers may sign agreements to reduce wheat under the 1957 Soil Bank plan by October 4. Payments equal $1.20 times the normal yield per acre. Eligible farmers may enroll 50 acres or 50 percent, whichever is greater, on a first come first served basis. Jones County has $157,300 allocated.
