A Stamford meeting chaired by A C Humphrey outlined the Texas Rural Roads Association goals to secure all weather roads in Texas. The group formed last April at the Driskill Hotel Austin with 20 to 25 organizations backing priorities for school bus routes rural delivery milk perishable produce and farm home access. A membership drive was set by a committee including J J Hill J C M Lester B Q Cooper and others with Chamber of Commerce offices handling sign ups.
