Two Stamford Boys Injured in Bicycle Car Collision
Two Stamford schoolboys riding one bicycle were badly hurt when they hit the side of an eastbound car at East Hamilton and McKinley. John Roe Buckner ten, suffered neck and leg cuts. Price Harvey Pearson twelve, was knocked unconscious with a broken collarbone. Both were treated at the hospital. Buckner released, Pearson remaining for observation.

American Legion Band Plays Key Role in Old Settlers Reunion
The Stamford American Legion Band with 41 members under director C. M. Watson performed in Colorado Texas during the Old Settlers Reunion. They played a morning concert, joined the 3:30 PM grand parade, led the rodeo arena entry, and were hosted at a barbecue with attendance by Mr. and Mrs. Wat son Roy Duke and others. The band traveled by special bus from Stamford and back the same day, receiving warm reception from locals and visitors.
