Salt water strike at a city treating plant well reached 1865 feet after two hours of rising water. Louis Green of Albany drilled through Cook Bluff Creek and Hope sands seeking oil or salt water. If King sand yields enough salt water, Green earns 1000 dollars. oil discovery would grant the city a salt water well free of charge. The well, begun at 1515 feet on September 9, reached 1860 feet with King sand expected 1880 to 1890 feet.

Price Harvey Pearson and John Roe Buckner of Stamford were injured when their bicycle crashed into a car last week. Harvey remained in hospital with a fractured skull and broken collar bone before returning to his parents home. his condition improved.
