Funeral Service For Avoca Soldier Conducted Monday
Cpl. Raymond Dillard age 19 was killed in a California car crash last Wednesday. A large crowd attended the Avoca Baptist Church service Monday at 4 30 p m with military rites by local posts. Burial followed at Spring Creek cemetery. Dillard, born December 19 1991 in Avoca, had served since 1949 including six months in England. He is survived by his parents a sister and a brother in Tokyo Japan plus grandparents of Paris Texas.
