Two Haskell men one aged 17 were captured after a 95 mph chase on the Stamford Haskell highway. Johnny Holly Clifton 38 and Charles Lewellan 17 were arraigned. Clifton fined 100 dollars, Lewellan with 150 dollar suspended. charges reckless driving and resisting arrest.

Rainfall Totals Hit 19 Inches as May Logs Heavy Showers
A Sunday night shower dropped 19 inches of rain, lifting the monthly total to 9S inches. May 1 opened with 65 inches, the heaviest since last September, and a second rain on May 5 added 14 inches.
