Stamford Electric Co-Operative re-elected its officer slate at the 21st annual meeting held Wednesday morning at the Texas Cowboy Reunion Roundup building. Hugo B. Haterius remains president and J. L. Osment vice president as 800 attendees heard a guest speech by J. R. Cobb urging legislative action. Officers and directors listed include G. J. Smith, Z. Edgar Boaz, E. W. Carlson, Ed F. Stamford Housing Authority to Open Bids for 18 Units
The Stamford Housing Authority will open bids April 15 for a proposed 18-house project totaling 36 living units. Arrest of Two Men On Plains Clears Stamford Robberies
Two men signed statements admitting break ins at the Coca Cola plant and a service station in Stamford. One was captured at Lubboeck the other at Plainview. They found a coin collection owned by Kerman Daffern valued around 270 dollars and included rare coins. They also planned to rob a grocery and a heavy safe, but only a radio from a separate theft was recovered.

Scout-O-Rama to Bring 600 Boys to Stamford
Preparations underway for Scout-O-Rama on March 26 expected to draw 500 to 600 Boy Scouts from Chisholm Trail Council. Kenneth Lafferty says the 50th Anniversary Show will be held at the Astin store buildings with Cubs Scouts and Explorers showcasing crafts, skills, and camping activities. Mayors of nearby towns invited as judges. booths will be judged on a point system with prize streamers and a bicycle grand prize for ticket sellers. Tickets at 50 cents each fund the event and Camp Tonka wa Boy Scout Camp Fund. The show runs 2 PM to 6 PM with plans for further notices.
