New insulation standards apply to FHMA financed homes
Rural housing with FmHA loans will soon follow stricter thermal rules designed to reduce energy costs. The standards, after a federal court challenge and subsequent hearings, authorize heavier insulation and better weatherization for new and certain existing FHMA financed homes and apartments in Jones and Shackelford Counties during fiscal year 1978.

Beef markets may ease in third quarter, outlook cautious
Texas and national cattlemen enjoy steadier markets, but a Texas Extension Service expert forecasts a dip in fed cattle prices in Q3 July through September with some rebound toward year end. Feeder cattle will track fed prices, and lower slaughter of cows and non fed cattle could limit overall beef output, keeping prices under pressure through fall.
