Bethel plans parade float as church marks 75th year
Bethel Lutheran Church in Bricksdahl is crafting a paper flower replica of a chuck wagon for the Texas Cowboy Reunion parade to celebrate its 75th anniversary. Luther League members and Hollis Muehintein farm helpers spend afternoons and nights mounting blooms on frames. The float mirrors Bethel's founding wagon and the earlier white frame building from 1907, with the current stone church completed in the 1940s.
