Midland Man Dies in Lubbock Hospital
C M Trotter age 62 of Wofford died in Methodist Hospital Lubbock on Thursday June 17 about 2 30 pm He was a cotton farmer and had surgery for cancer last year Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church in Wofford with burial in Resthaven Memorial Cemetery Lubbock Survivors include wife his mother four brothers and three sisters The WSCS officers will attend a school of instruction in Albany with several local members among them

Paula Burk of Stamford is named a TWU scholarship recipient for the 1965 66 year. The award supports majors in home economics nursing and music. Burk, a Stamford High School May graduate, plans to major in home economics and has been active as outstanding homemaking student, Future Homemakers president, Area IV parliamentarian, pep squad leader, Fine Arts Music Club member, and yearbook editor.

Rotary scholars share plans at Stamford club meeting
Two Rotary scholarship winners visited the Stamford club, thanked members, and outlined their futures. Diane Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Parnell Anderson, will enter North Texas State University this fall to study political science with aims toward foreign service. James Terman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jd. J. Herman, will attend Texas Tech to major in electrical engineering.
