The First Baptist Church revival began last Sunday with twelve baptisms on Wednesday night and many rededicating their lives. Pastor Rev. Manages Joy Ride Spurs Arrest in Anson Jail
Willie Lee Johnson, a Black resident, allegedly borrowed Neil Atkins's car from Atkins-Keen market after noon. Dag Griggs recovered the vehicle. Johnson was seen leaving it and held in Anson jail. The car was later found in Stamford after suspected joyriding with others across neighboring towns.

County committees to sign up cotton farmers for relief plan

A cutting-horse contest tests horse skill more than rider talent at the Fourth Annual Texas Cowboy Reunion July 3–5. Texas Cowboy Reunion Tickets On Sale At City Drug Stores
All ticket types for the Texas Cowboy Reunion are now on sale at three city drug stores. Prices include adult oral admission 55 cents, grandstand 30 cents, box seat 50 cents, season box 9 dollars 12 cents, with tax where noted. Two street booths will sell general admission and grandstand tickets downtown, per L W Johnson. Box seats feature 30 boxes of six in front of the grandstands. Downtown sales aim to reduce last year’s rush at the grounds.

Oldtime Cowhands of Crowell to Attend Texas Reunion
