Theresa White won the name Miss Stamford in a Bathing Beauty Contest at the Alcove Theatre last Thursday and Friday. She and her daughter Jessie White will represent Stamford in the August pageant in Roswell New Mexico with the winner to be crowned Queen of the West and receive a trip to the World's Fair in Chicago. Bettie Sue Luttrell was named the most beautiful child in a Tiny Tot Revue and will have her picture taken free at Walton Studio. Judges came from out of town, including one man from Newark.

Mrs. Hoyt McCann Dies Suddenly From Throat Disease
Mrs. Hoyt McCann aged 26 died at her Stamford home Saturday night from throat trouble. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Long home with Rev. J. W. Grimes and Rev. C. R. Hooton officiating. Burial followed in Highland Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Joe Long, three sisters Ethel Hale Fannie Willingham Pearl McCann, and a brother Beatty Long.

COWBOYS SET FOR STAMFORD RODEO REUNION DATES
The Fourth Annual Texas Cowboy Reunion in Stamford runs July 3 to 5 with two daily rodeo performances at 2 30 p m and 8 p m in the reunion grounds amphitheater. R. C. Thomas Named City Court Judge in Stamford
R C Thomas was appointed judge of the Corporation Court of Stamford at a City Council meeting last Friday. He is the first appointed city judge since 1918 when duties were given to the city manager. Thomas served as justice of peace in 1924 25 and 26 and is prepared to assume duties immediately.
