Mrs Roquemore Dies After Short Illness in Stamford
Mrs Sarah Elizabeth Roquemore formerly Parrish died Tuesday at 2 10 AM after a 10 day illness. She had lived with her daughter Mrs A C Cooper at the Stamford Inn for 18 years. The funeral was held at Teneha cemetery Wednesday. Survivors include four daughters Mrs Fallwell of Palestine Mrs Cooper and Mrs Ben Ray of Stamford and Mrs Eaton of Spur a son A L Roquemore of Palestine seven grandchildren two great grandchildren a brother John Parrish of Teneha two sisters Mrs Overton of Cleveland and Mrs Tarver of Mineral Wells and several grandchildren previously residents of Stamford.

Long illness ends in death of Jim Carroll in Stamford
James R. Carroll died at his East McHarg residence after six months of ill health. Funeral held at St. John's Methodist Church with burial in Highland Cemetery. Survived by wife Beulah Jarrett, two daughters, a step son, grandchildren, mother, sisters and brothers. Carroll born November 19 1891 in Ben Franklin Texas.

Oil Allowable Increased to 75 Barrels at Griffin Pool
Abilene May 31 The Abilene district office reports the Avoca townsite Griffin field in Jones County received Austin authorization to raise per well output from 45 to 75 barrels daily. Thirty wells were affected previously, five more completed last week, with the pool now producing about 2500 barrels daily via the Humble Pipeline.

Girls Plan Summer Home Economics Projects
A group of high school girls will pursue summer Home Economics projects with weekly meetings every Monday and Thursday in June. Ethel Rowell and Mrs H K Langford lead, four groups assign meeting duties, and officers include Nancy Langford president and Edna Levvorn vice president. A May 23 cottage meeting elected Katharine Gibson temporary chair and May 29 group officers cooked plans for a June picnic and pool party with talks on vacation topics and etiquette. Refreshments served to 26 girls.

Bell Family Relatives Hurt In Highway Car Crash
Mr and Mrs A J Bell and relatives were injured when the Bell car overturned five miles east of Laeders after a left rear tire blew. Mrs Bell suffered multiple fractures. Mr Bell had a broken shoulder and collar bone. They were taken to Stamford Hospital. Mrs Bell remained hospitalized Tuesday. Family members had been visiting Austin for their son's graduation from the Blind Institute.
