Baize Durocs Exhibit at National Barrow Show in Minnesota
Exhibitors from 25 states sent barrows to the New Ulm Test Station for the Production Tested Barrow Contest at the National Barrow Show. The 1981 event returns to Mower County Fairgrounds Austin Minnesota September 14 to 16. Eight hundred four barrows met the requirements, exceeding the original 700 forecast by superintendent John Phillips. Baize Farms of Stamford a Duroc Yorkshire breeder is among consignors with a barrow entered at New Ulm Test Station two miles west of New Ulm. Barrows completing the test will be slaughtered.
