Max Feldt and associates bought the assets of Feldt Manufacturing Co Inc of Stamford at auction for 22,000 plus 1,000 lease. About 30 to 40 bidders from across the state attended. Referee Elmore Whitehurst approved the sale. Dallas assets brought 345,000 including trade marks Tem Tex and others. Feldt plans for reopening are undecided.

Walter James Martin 77 died Sunday at Stamford Memorial Hospital after five months illness. He was a member of the Oliver Street Church of Christ. Funeral service was held Monday at Albany Church of Christ with ministers L. W Havhurst and J. C Rubanks officiating. Burial followed in Albany cemetery. Survivors include wife Bessie Cox Martin, a daughter Daisy Mae Anders, six sons George Jack Max Joe Taylor and Bill Smith, 19 grandchildren and sister Mrs Ollie Martin of Albany. Pallbearers were Glenn Cox Lindsey Cox Herman Cox Bill Martin Hubert Martin John Martin.
