Nils Walter Ekdahl 68 died on Sunday night at Stamford Memorial Hospital from a heart attack. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Christ Lutheran Church with Rev. Sam Uratte officiating. Burial at Bethel cemetery. Survived by wife Augusta Littlejohn, one son Nils Jr, daughter Christine, four stepchildren, a sister in Dallas and other relatives.

The 1969 Texas Cowboy Reunion broke records for attendance and outcomes. Bobby Edmonds of San Angelo set a calf roping record at 9.1 seconds. he later won the saddle with a 34.6 total on three calves. Debbie Elmore led sponsor contest with 20.0 time. Will T. The district courtroom ceiling is installed, walls painted, and flooring laid in the district clerk and county school superintendent offices. Hot Weather Drives Record Water Use
Heat spurs water demand with daily consumption above two million gallons. On June 26 the total reached 2 167 000 gallons, just under last year’s peak of 2 200 000 gallons despite higher daytime usage during a siege of hot weather.
