Dr. R A Stewart of Abilene underwent an operation in Dallas on Tuesday for the removal of sidney. He had been in Dallas for about a week before the procedure. Mrs. Stewart and their daughter Miss Virginia and son Frederick were with him. Stewart formerly pastored St John's Methodist Church and served as presiding elder of the Stamford district.

Will Rogers, famed cowboy comedian and actor, surprised attendees at the Texas Cowboy Reunion in Abilene. He watched the cutting horse contest from the bleachers, rode a horse in the arena, and helped clear calves and other animals using a rope.
