Music Club to Donate Grand Piano to City Schools
The Stamford Music Club plans to present a new grand piano for use in the city schools new auditorium. The club will raise the remaining funds through two or three summer events and welcomes gifts from individuals or other clubs sent to Mrs. Southerland. This year the piano replaces the scholarship funding of prior years.

Gatesville man loses trailer en route to Haskell
A Gatesville man driving to Haskell misplaced a large steel tandem trailer 15 miles from Stam ford. An Arledge and Grissom employee heard the impact at Beggs Wholesale Co. and alerted police. The trailer struck Beggs and penetrated a wall. the hitch remained on the pickup. The driver learned of the loss only after reaching Haskell and contacting towns along his route.

Hospital Room Donated in Hodge Memory
Mrs. Sanford J. Hodge and Sanford Hodge Jr donate a room of furniture for the new hospital in memory of Sanford J. Hodge the local theatre operator. Hospital Administrator John Martin announced the gift and a plaque will be placed on the door.
