Stamford Bulldog Coach Receives Abilene Reporter-News Coach of the Year
Jerry Taylor led the Stamford Bulldogs to a 10-2 season, capturing both the District 6-AA title and district crown before a Fabens playoff loss. Native of Stamford, he previously coached at Abilene High and Stamford, moving up after Bill Anderson left. Taylor edged Don Mullins, Dave Edmiston, and Allan Gibbs for the honor.
