Stamford Bulldogs honored with gold footballs for squad

Eighteen members of the Stamford football squad and coaches received gold footballs from the Stamford Exchange Club at a luncheon held at the Home Economics Cottage. The club supports local football and athletic programs, and the event recognized each letterman for his service this year.

Presbyterians To Hold Christmas Tree Friday Night

The Central Presbyterian Church will host a white Christmas event Friday night at 7 30. A Christmas tree will be decorated for a food drive benefiting the needy. Mrs Bart Holland will lead a program of carols and a community feed after the tree is lit.

Warplane Waved to Brother Flying Over Stamford

Mrs. Ike Hudson and her Los Angeles brother Allan Olson waved as his bombing plane bound for New York circled Stamford. Olson recognized the Hudson home from photos and later wired to confirm if she wore a red sweater when the craft passed. The brothers met in Dallas after weather delayed the flight and visited until the plane headed to Atlanta.

Laymen's League Meeting in Central Christian Church
