A Stamford delegation led by A. J. Swenson and including the Fireman's Band will attend an Old Glory rally to back a $580,000 Stonewall County road bond. If approved, about 100 miles of roads, plus a Brazos river bridge, will be improved and State Highways 14 and others may be rerouted through key towns including Old Glory and Aspermont.

Lifeless Boy Fatally Shot At Home On Tuesday Morning
Floyd Halbert aged 3 is found dead in his room after a single rifle shot. His parents Mr and Mrs H C Halbert, of South Weatherby Street, report the tragic scene early Tuesday. Halbert, born November 18 180, had been a Stamford high school graduate and Bulldog football star. He later worked as an oil scout for Shell Petroleum at San Angelo. A recent nervous breakdown followed an auto crash on October 17 injuring Victor Barbarick, 12. Halbert was arrested but not indicted by the grand jury. Funeral services were conducted at the Church of Christ with burial at Highland Cemetery under the Maronite lodge.
