Burglars forced a window lock to enter the Brazelton Lumber Company office last Thursday night and stole $29 in cash from the safe and cash box. The theft was discovered when the office opened Friday morning. Neither the safe nor the cash box was locked.

The Collins Piano Co opened a Stamford branch on the north side of the square last Saturday under R H Maxwell. The store offers a full display of new and used pianos and phonographs. Cow Shed Damaged By Fire Saturday
A cow shed belonging to O. G. Lewis was damaged by fire Saturday morning due to spontaneous ignition in sorghum stacked beside the shed. The alarm came in about 11 a.m. and the fire department quickly controlled it with chemicals. the shed was not insured.

Prize Offered for Best Christmas Window Display
The Retail Business committee of the Chamber of Commerce will award a $5 prize for the best Christmas window display this season. Impartial judges will view originality and appropriateness, with results announced Friday, December 15 at 6 p.m. The Chamber will present the prize as city lights are hung around the square and decorations are added.
