Funeral services for the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Yeatts were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 at the Yeatts home on Wells avenue. The baby, born Tuesday morning at the sanitarium, died Tuesday night. Rev. Sam Morris officiated. Kinney Funeral Home managed burial at Highland Cemetery.

The Highway Commission awarded L. E. Whitham and Company a 13.7 mile concrete paving contract worth 200 016 dollars. The route runs from the No 30 intersection north of Stamford to the Stonewall county line near Lagerton in Haskell county. The firm previously handled Highway 30 paving and maintains Stamford offices during work. Completion will bring five paved roads into Stamford.
