Du Ppose School of Salesmanship director P Brewer spoke at Stamford Rotary Tuesday. He described a University of Texas Extension program in Abilene and urged establishing a similar school in Stamford, noting classes meet three evenings weekly. He likened the mind to a car, stressing power versus control and stating few men do much of their thinking. Dodson presided at a luncheon.

J A Elliott Dies After Long Illness
John Allen Elliott died at his home in the eastern suburbs Sunday evening after a lingering illness. He was born June 22 1852 in Alabama and lived in Texas from childhood. He married Nannie Young in 1879 and leaves his wife six sons and five daughters with several grandchildren. Funeral at First Baptist Stamford with Rev W C Moffett and others, burial in Highland Cemetery.

Lighting System Talked Up By Stamford Officials
