New 24 Room Hotel Planned On East Reynolds Street
The Rigggins Hotel, a Stamford landmark on East Reynolds Street, is torn down this week to make way for a brick veneer hotel with twenty four rooms. Abilene owner M Rogers Williams says the building will be modern and plans to lease it after completion. J W Young of Abilene handles the construction work.

Students Nominate Presidential Candidate In School Convention

Revival Opens Sunday at St John’s Methodist Church
Rev Jimmie Smith of Dallas will lead a revival at St John’s Church Stamford with singer and choir director arriving Saturday. Services begin Sunday April 7 with 11 am morning worship and 10 am and 7 45 pm on other days. The revival invites all denominations and non church members to attend.
